Biography
Elected deputy of the Vanier district at the general election held on December 8, 2008, Patrick Huot is currently parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks, the Honourable Line Beauchamp. He believes that a deputy’s work involves ardently defending the interests of the people he or she represents by being accessible, available and attentive to their needs. His political commitment is also tied to his desire to improve the quality of his children’s lives and the lives of the citizens of his district by ensuring that they have access to quality services close to home.

Patrick Huot acted as municipal councillor of Québec City’s Duberger district from 2005 to 2008. He also worked in Quebec’s public service as a research officer, executive assistant to the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (minister of health and social services, 2002-2007) and executive assistant to the Ministère des Services gouvernementaux (minister of governmental services, 2007).

The father of two is a resident of the Vanier district and holds a Bachelor of Political Science (1999) and a Master of Policy Analysis (2002). An accomplished sportsman, Patrick Huot played on the Rouge et Or, Diamants de Québec and Patriotes de Sainte-Foy baseball teams.
